How to Choose the Right Gloves

According to the basic requirements of welding gloves, we found that gloves made only from animal leather products are most suitable. This includes cowhide, elkskin, pigskin, and sheepskin, among which cowhide and pigskin welding gloves are the most common.

Cowhide: Cowhide is durable, high temperature resistant and flame retardant, suitable for welding at high temperatures. It is versatile and offers a balance of durability, flexibility, wear resistance and comfort.

Pigskin: Pigskin gloves are the most oil-resistant and weather-resistant, but not very heat-resistant. The biggest feature of pigskin is that it is cheap.

Goat Leather: TIG welders’ favorite gloves are made from goat leather because they are so comfortable and lightweight. They are oil and weather resistant, providing the flexibility needed to pick up metal. Sheepskin welding gloves are relatively thin.

Deerskin: Provides the most comfortable fit and great flexibility. Deerskin welding gloves are the thinnest and thinnest compared to cowhide and pigskin, but have poor durability.

Wear the correct size for the best level of protection and maximum grip.
